Cookies

The website makes use of cookies. Cookies are tiny text files that an internet page installs on a PC, tablet or mobile phone. Such cookies are used to improve the performance of the website and to monitor visitor behaviour. This enables us to track how many people have visited the website in a certain period of time. We cannot trace this data back to a specific PC or individual.

Why are cookies used?

Web pages have no memory. The web server regards a visitor who surfs from one page to another on the same website as a new visitor each time. Cookies ensure that the website recognises your browser.

Use of cookies

We use different types of cookies for different purposes. Please bear in mind that if you reject (certain types of) cookies, some or all functionalities of this website may be restricted. See below for an overview of the types of cookies we use and the associated purposes.

1. Functional cookies enable us to offer this website and keep it operational, and to remember your preferences. Google Maps installs some cookies to track statistics relating to the use of Google Maps itself and other cookies to store preferences (e.g. preferred type of display).

2. Google Analytics cookies, to gain insight into how our visitors use (various parts of) this website, e.g. visitor numbers and popular pages and topics. This enables us to better align our communication with the needs of visitors to this website. We cannot see who (which PC) visits the Google website. As the provider of this service, Google can see this information, but it cannot link it to privacy-sensitive information. Google may not use this information for any other purposes nor pass the information on the third parties without a judicial order to do so.

3. Social media cookies are necessary in order to like messages, share news items and update your status on Facebook. More cookies will be installed if you are logged in to Facebook while visiting our website than if you aren’t logged in. In both cases, the information is stored for only a limited period (90 days) and is only used in order to improve products. It is not sold to or shared with advertisers without your permission. Information can only be shared on Facebook if you have expressly given your permission for this.

4. The advertising networks we work with install tracking cookies on your computer. These cookies are used to track which pages you visit in order to build up a profile of your online browsing behaviour. This profile is not linked to your name, address, email address and suchlike, but rather is only used to align advertisements with your browsing behaviour. In addition, these cookies are used to limit the frequency with which an advertisement is displayed to you.

Cookie lifetime

Most cookies we use are session cookies. This means that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive when you end your session (i.e. when you log out or close your web browser). Permanent cookies have various lifetimes, ranging from 90 days to several years. You can delete permanent cookies manually via your browser settings.

Third-party cookies

In addition to us, third parties can also install cookies although they are only analytics cookies installed by Google. However, third parties cannot install cookies without our permission.

Rejecting (certain) cookies

You can change your browser settings (e.g. in Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Mozilla or Chrome) to indicate whether you accept cookies, and if so which ones. The location of these settings varies per browser. Check the ‘help’ function of your browser to find the exact location and method in your case.

Please bear in mind that if you reject (certain types of) cookies, some or all functionalities of the website might be restricted.

Security

We have taken the relevant precautions to ensure the security of our systems in order to ensure that unauthorised persons cannot gain access to personal information.

Links

The website includes links to other websites. In addition, the website contains links (e.g. hyperlinks, banners or buttons) to third-party websites. We have absolutely no say or influence over the contents and policies of these websites. Therefore, we cannot accept any responsibility for the manner in which those third parties communicate with you and/or handle your details.

Transfer of business activities

As we grow and develop further, it may be the case that one or more components or assets of the business will be transferred to a third party. If this happens, the details of our customers will also be transferred.

Information about and amendment of your details

If you would like to know which details we hold about you or if you wish to amend your data, please contact us.

This Privacy Declaration is subject to change. Any changes will be announced on this page.
